What is my expected downtime?
Potenza delivers serious results with little downtime. You get the benefits of a superficial and deep resurfacing treatment without the inconvenience of having to hideout for days. Most clients experience mild redness and swelling for a few hours – then back to business (but with better skin).
Is it painful?
There is mild discomfort. A topical numbing cream is applied before the treatment to enhance care and the settings are adjusted to accommodate your needs. After treatment, you will receive detailed aftercare instructions.
What should I expect after booking?
Before Treatment:
A consultation is the first step in the process, ensuring that your medical history doesn’t have any contraindications that would make Potenza unsafe for you.
After the consultation, we will email you forms to complete and instructions to follow prior to your appointment day.
Day of Treatment:
• We will review everything to ensure your questions are answered and that your treatment is tailored to fit your needs.
• The treatment site will be cleansed and numbing cream applied for 45 minutes. The numbing cream will be removed and the area will be prepped.
• The treatment will start, and it will last 30-45 minutes depending on the area.
• Once completed, the area is cooled. A medical-grade mask and serum are applied to minimize redness, reduce inflammation, and accelerate healing.
Post-treatment instructions will be discussed and a handout will be given to you before you leave.
How many treatments will I need?
Think of Potenza treatments like going to the gym: going once will not yield the results you want. The best results come from a committed and consistent treatment regimen. Aesthetic Philosophy generally recommends 3-5 treatments.
How long before I see results?
While you will begin seeing changes the day after treatment, remember that collagen and elastin production take time. Results can be seen as early as 8 weeks. Optimal results usually take 4-6 months.
